Maintenance

HVAC maintenance near you. The kind that actually catches things.

A proper tune-up is not a filter change and a handshake. Our 21-point maintenance visit measures static pressure, refrigerant subcooling and superheat, capacitor microfarads, amp draw, and temperature split across the coil. If something's aging out, you hear about it before it fails on a 100°F Saturday.

What do homeowners ask about Maintenance?

How often should HVAC be serviced?

Twice a year, spring for cooling, fall for heating. San Diego systems run harder and longer than most people think because of our long cooling season. Annual plans include priority scheduling and a discount on any repairs that come out of the visit.

What's in your 21-point check?

Refrigerant pressure and temperatures, capacitor microfarads, contactor and relay inspection, fan and blower amp draw, static pressure, temperature split across the coil, condenser coil cleaning, condensate drain flush, electrical tightening, safety controls, thermostat calibration, filter replacement, air handler cabinet inspection, ductwork visible check, and more. You'll get a written report after every visit.

Do you offer maintenance plans?

Our Climate Pros Plan is $189/year and includes two full tune-ups (spring + fall), priority scheduling, no overtime rates on nights and weekends, and 15% off any repairs or replacement parts. Month-to-month, no long-term contract.

What's the difference between a tune-up and a filter change?

A filter change is a 3-minute homeowner task. A tune-up is a full system diagnostic, measurements, cleaning, electrical inspection, safety checks, that tells you how the equipment is actually performing and what's likely to fail next. We do both, but they're not the same thing.

Is there a real return on maintenance spend?

Yes. Manufacturers require annual maintenance to keep warranties valid. EPA data shows maintained systems use 15% less energy. And catching a $30 capacitor before it fails in August saves a weekend emergency call. The math works.

Called at 9 a.m. when our AC quit during a heat wave. They had a tech at the house by 1 p.m., diagnosed a bad capacitor, and had cool air back on before dinner. Clear price up front, no upsell.

AC Repair Carlsbad

Got three quotes for a full replacement. Climate Pros ran the only proper load calc and picked a smaller unit than the other guys. System runs quieter and my summer bill dropped. Exactly what I was hoping for.

New System Install El Cajon

They walked me through the federal rebate, handled all the paperwork, and installed a heat pump that handles both our foggy mornings and warm afternoons. No more gas bill. Install was clean, crew was on time every day.
